Clean  Prefetch  Directory to Improve Performance :

                          This is a technique Which is used in  WinXP. We know that it is necessary to clean registry and TEMP files periodically.  Prefetch is a very useful technique in Windows XP. After using XP some time, the prefetch directory gets full with links in the Prefetch directory which can slow down your computer .

1.  Goto Start >> Run 
2. Type prefetch and hit enter
3. Press Ctrl +A and then delete all files
4. Do this process regularly

Safer Registry Editing:

                 Make sure before modifying your system Registry. Backup your registry because  will help you to restore Registry in case any problem occurs after modifying. Learn how you can Export and Import Registry File before Editing?

1. Goto Start>> Run
2. Type regedit and click ok
3. Goto File menu and click on Export Option to backup and save it in your pc save it with .reg extension
4. If you want to restore this then goto File menu and click on import option and give the path where you save the file
